# Create Your Account

> Sign up for a Numaura account with email, Google, Apple, or Facebook, set up a passkey for faster sign-in, and log back in.

## How to Sign Up

You can create a Numaura account four ways:

1. **Email and password** — enter your email and choose a password (6 characters minimum).
2. **Continue with Google** — links your Numaura account to your Google account.
3. **Continue with Apple** — links your Numaura account to your Apple ID.
4. **Continue with Facebook** — links your Numaura account to your Facebook account.

All four paths land you in the same place. You can connect or disconnect social logins later from your account settings, and add a passkey for faster sign-in once you're set up.

## Signing Up With Email

1. Go to the Numaura sign-up page.
2. Enter your email address and choose a password.
3. Complete the CAPTCHA.
4. Submit the form.
5. Check your inbox for a confirmation email and click the link inside.

Your account is active as soon as you confirm your email address.

## Signing Up With Google, Apple, or Facebook

1. Click **Continue with Google**, **Continue with Apple**, or **Continue with Facebook**.
2. Approve the connection in the provider's prompt.
3. You're redirected back to Numaura, signed in and ready to go.

No email verification step needed for social sign-up.

## Setting Up a Passkey

If your device supports it — Face ID, Touch ID, Windows Hello, or a security key — Numaura offers to set up a passkey right after you create your account.

1. After signing up, you'll see a **Sign In Faster Next Time** prompt.
2. Click **Set up Passkey** and complete your device's biometric or PIN prompt.
3. Click **Skip for Now** if you'd rather not — you can always add one later from [Account Settings](/help/managing-your-account).

Once a passkey is set up, a **Sign In with Passkey** button appears on the sign-in tab on that device, letting you log in without typing a password.

## Logging Back In

Use the same method you signed up with. If you signed up with Google, use that button — typing the same email address with a password won't work unless you've set one separately. If you've set up a passkey on this device, look for the **Sign In with Passkey** button for the fastest way in.

## Creating a Report for a Child

If you're generating a report for someone who is 13 years old or under:

1. Check the **Parental consent** checkbox on the report form.
2. Enter your email address as the parent or guardian.

The account belongs to you. Numaura doesn't create accounts for minors.

## Forgot Your Password

1. Click **Forgot password** on the login page.
2. Enter your email address.
3. Open the reset link in your inbox.
4. Set a new password.

Reset links expire after a limited window. If yours has expired, just request a new one.

## If Something Isn't Working

**No confirmation email** — check your spam folder first. If it's not there after a few minutes, go back to sign-up and request a new one.

**CAPTCHA not loading or failing** — try refreshing the page, or switch to a different browser.

**Social login not completing** — make sure your browser allows third-party popups. If it still doesn't work, contact support.

**Passkey not showing up** — passkeys are tied to the specific device and browser you created them on. Sign in with your email/password or a social login instead, or set up a new passkey on this device from [Account Settings](/help/managing-your-account).
